Some of you may recall my lawn mower blew up a couple weeks ago well, fortunately I had a spare that didn’t run/didn’t run right
Isn’t she a beautiful piece of green?
Uh oh. Old gas. Looks kinda like watered down Coke
Remove this bolt
This bolt is a pain because it’s a different size and its location makes it hard to use a ratchet
Mind the springs
Voila. Dump old gas into old gas can. Dumped out old oil too
That’s not good. The inside of the connector looked the same.
Scavenge time. I thought I could just snag the wire but it was permanently attached to the magnet thing.
My magnet thing was quite rusty.
Replacement is dirty but no rust. Only held on by 2 tiny bolts.
Don’t forget to disconnect this wire.
This bastard.
Kept following me around the lawn mower. I finally lured him onto a stick and threw him over into some grass. I think it was trying to eat me.
Bolted everything back on. Topped off the oil, gave it fresh gas, and she fired right up.

Lawn mower repair ftw. I’ve become rather adept at stripping my mower down and cleaning it to make it run. Last summer, I learned a hell of a lot about carburetors etc. But I saved a hell of a lot of money doing the work myself.

Watered-down Coke. That’s what I’m drinking now. Or maybe it is gas. I’m really not sure.

Yeah. I like it because it's like a simpler car. Let's you figure out how things really work.

It was a couple years old so it was probably diesel now.
